SUPPORT THE FEDERATION
The purpose of the Massachusetts Federation of Building Officials is to be a unified voice for all Building Officials throughout the commonwealth. The Federation serves all members of the three regional associations in pending state legislation and code changes. Our goal is to protect the interests of Building Officials at the State House and at BBRS hearings.
Your regional association is forbidden by law from lobbying in their name at the state level, due to the fact that association dues are primarily paid with municipal funds (your employer pays your dues). It is for this reason that the Federation needs your
individual
support to carry on its work. Your Federation lobbying effort is funded entirely through individual contributions.
We are, therefore, asking for whatever you can give to
help us help you
. Personal checks, paid to MFBO, will go a long way in helping us raise the level of awareness statewide to the vital role we all play in public safety. A minimum of $20.00 donation is suggested, but please give whatever you can!
With your support, the Federation will be able to track pending bills and be prepared with statements of support or opposition. We will also be able to proactively submit legislative and code change proposals which will not only benefit Building Officials but also enhance public safety in the built environment throughout the commonwealth.
